There are four committees in the club: Service, Membership, Sponsored Youth, and Fundraising.
Service
The Service Committee serves to provide the club with several service projects throughout the year. More information about our past service projects are located in the Service section of the web site. Every fall, the service committee works with the Sponsored Youth Committee for our club's annual Key to Your Future Day.
Membership
The Membership Committee serves to increase paid membership in the club as well as educate the members on our club, the New York District, and Kiwanis International. Member education is accomplished through new member orientations and the club web site. Furthermore, the committee strives to encourage fellowship among the members by holding social events throughout New York City area (Dim Sum brunch, Bronx Zoo trip, Capote movie screening, etc.)
Sponsored Youth
The Sponsored Youth Committee works with each of our 4 sponsored
youth clubs (Math Science & Engineering Key Club, Hunter Key
Club, CCNY Circle K and New York Univeresity Circle K). This committee
also heads our club's Key-Pal program and works with the Service
Committee for our club's annual Key to Your Future Day.
Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee serves to help raise money for the club. In the past, the committee has planned box raffles, polo shirt sale, and guest bartender nights. The committee also administers the Happy Dollar tradition in club meetings and events. |
